Players exploring a mapped outdoor trail at dawn
Melbourne · Location-Based Game Studio

Real trails. Real players. Games mapped to the ground beneath your boots.

SignalPlayBase turns Melbourne parklands, laneways and ranges into playable worlds — AR quests, GPS treasure hunts, and story-driven expeditions your community can actually walk.

What we build

Adventure games rooted in real terrain

Every build starts with a site survey and ends with a launch-ready game your players open on their own phones. No headsets to buy, no app store gatekeeping.

Questions before we build

No. Every game we ship runs in the phone browser through a QR code or link. That means no app-store approvals, no storage prompts, and players can join within a minute of arriving at the trailhead.

We build anywhere across greater Melbourne and regional Victoria. Popular sites include Royal Park, the Capital City Trail, Yarra Bend, and the Dandenong Ranges. We survey each location on foot before quoting so the routes are safe and the GPS holds.

A Trailhead Quest Design starts at A$3,900 for a single route, while a half-day AR Field Expedition setup starts at A$1,450. Final pricing depends on the number of waypoints, narrative depth, and expected player volume. You get a fixed quote after the site survey.

Yes. Our markerless WebAR layer holds 30-plus concurrent players smoothly on mid-range phones, and we regularly run community events of several hundred. We provide field marshals and a live dashboard on request.

You bring your build to our Little Collins Street studio on a Wednesday or Saturday. We recruit real players, watch them play, capture heat-map and drop-off data, and return a prioritised fix list within 48 hours. Sessions run A$680 each.
